Before the presentation…

Who am I?

First of all, to introduce myself, my name is Nam Seo-ah. Nam is the last name and Seo-ah is the first name. I am currently a university student in Korea Aerospace University and in a last year of Software Engineering.

Why I am holding this seminar

First, I think everyone is wondering why I'm hosting this seminar.

The answer is simple. It’s just this is a topic that I'm interested in. I have been steadily engaged in language exchange activities since the late 2019 until now, and when my close friends came to Korea and settled down in the process, I helped them in the process.

According to the 2019 OECD statistics, the average ratio of foreign population in OECD countries is about 9.4%. And in this age of globalization, our country still has less than half that of foreigners. Since Korea is such a country with high ethnic unity, I have seen many foreign friends find it difficult to get information due to language barriers, and It gave me a motivation to plan this seminar.

Although I am a student studying software engineering, I found my interest through language exchange and now I have a goal to get a job in a field or institution related to foreigners even if I get a job as a programmer. And as I graduate from my university a year later, I have a desire to do many challenging activities as possible that I won't regret my time i spent as an university student. I believe it will be a good opportunity for everyone that i can get cool experience as a student, and you can get the useful information you need as a foreigner.

It's my first time hosting such an event or seminar, so I'm a little nervous to be honest. but I'll do my best to let you know all the things I've been working hard on.

To make it clear

By the way, I want to make in clear that I’m not a religious person at all. and I swear that I have no religious purpose in this seminar including all the future activities I will conduct. And I hope that none of the participants will participate in this seminar for that purpose.

Dining Culture

In Korea, everything revolves around "rice."
