Important Information for Newcomers
- Notion Registration: Please sign up for the Notion app and share your email in our group chat. We organize our Korean study material, including weekly and daily lessons, on Notion.
- Korean Proficiency Level: Inform Seo-A, our Korean tutor, about your level of Korean. This information is crucial for planning additional lessons and creating groups for different skill levels.
- Peer Learning: We emphasize learning Korean through a peer-to-peer approach. While Seo-A guides us, we encourage all members to teach and learn from each other.
Study Group Structure
- Daily Point Lessons: These are concise lessons focusing on various aspects of the Korean language, like slang, daily conversation, and cultural idioms, occasionally using real-life examples and screenshots.
- Weekly Sessions: The sessions include:
- Theoretical knowledge: pronunciation rules, grammar, honorifics, etc.
- Shadowing technique: for improving speaking skills.
- Study exercises: for speaking, writing, listening, and reading, based on provided materials.
Additional Notes
- Notion Updates: Due to busy schedules, updating our Notion page with chat content can be a challenge.
- Volunteering: Seo-A, our tutor, teaches Korean as a hobby. We need help with Notion documentation and preparing study materials. Volunteers will be rewarded with extra Korean lessons.
